Obituary for James Roy "Bubba" Roland

James Roy “Bubba” Roland, age 63 of Whitewright, went home to be with his wife Tuesday evening, July 3rd 2018 with his family by his side.

James was born December 17th of 1954 in Van Alstyne, Texas. He married Patricia McBride of Anna September 12th of 1973. Shortly after she blessed him with four children. James was best known as the owner of Pilot Grove Auto Repair where he made a life for him, his wife, and kids. James was a hard working man who enjoyed being on the lake striper fishing.

James is preceded in death by his wife; Patricia (McBride) Roland, his parents; Lloyd and Ora Roland, and sisters; Mary Brown and Betty “Joyce” Martin.

He is survived by his four children; son James M Roland and wife Lisa of Mead, OK. daughter Christy Beck and husband Steven of Whitewright, daughter Melanie Vest and husband Buddy of Celina, and son Johnny Roland of Whitewright, four siblings; sister Arlene Beck and husband Jerry of Van Alstyne, sister Carol Stailey and husband Donald of Blue Ridge, sister Willie Risner of Van Alstyne, and brother Tony Roland and wife Debbie of Gordonville, thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Flowers can be sent to the Kings Trail Cowboy Church in Whitewright. (498 Bethel Cannon Rd Whitewright, Tx 75491)

Family night will be Friday July 6th from 6pm-8pm at the Kings Trail Cowboy Church in Whitewright.

Funeral will be Saturday July 7th at 3pm at KTCC, graveside services will follow at the Van Alstyne Cemetery
